28 Jul What3words – Uyanga Munkhbold
Course studied: International Business MSc
Year of graduation: 2016
When I left Brunel, my plan was…
Studying in Brunel was one of my best academic and life experiences I gained. I completed my MSc in International at Brunel under Chevening Scholarship, the full scholarship of the British Government, in 2016. I wanted to use my academic knowledge with my previously gained work experience fully in my future career. Ever since I graduated I was looking for a private company to help me reach my potential as a game changer in the business sector.
At the moment…
I work as the Country Manager of what3words in Mongolia. what3words is the global addressing system, the UK born start-up company, making changes around the world.
I am so fortunate to work for what3word. I established the first representative office of the company in the world and, especially in Mongolia, lead the rest of the world to be the best possible example of success. I am fully responsible for the team in Mongolia, addressing the solution of what3words in the Mongolian business environment.
How I have developed professionally since graduating…
I am trying to use my academic, professional, networking and leadership skills to support others to grow in their professional career, in society, and in the country.
My advice to recent graduates/students graduating soon…
- Take an interest in the people around you as they will have stories which you can learn from.
- Focusing on a solution is one of the best ways to use your time effectively, both in professional and personal life.
- Not reaching what you wanted at that moment is not a bad thing. This gives you more experience and all you need to do is keep trying without giving up.
