Short and long term – Sam Spence

03 Aug Short and long term – Sam Spence

Course studied: Sports Health and Exercise Sciences
Year of graduation: 2015

When I left Brunel, my plan was…
To find a graduate job in London.

At the moment…
I work for NEXT in Leicester as an directory operations analyst.

How my career goals have changed…
I’m still developing myself and trying to learn as much as possible.

How I have developed professionally since graduating…
I’ve learnt about the commercial and business world and gained leadership/managerial skills.

How I have developed personally…
I began looking at life as a whole and creating clear goals both short and long term.

My advice to recent graduates/students graduating soon…
Get yourself a job that requires a degree, otherwise what’s the point into going to university? Even if it’s not in the field you studied in, avoid a role that’s beneath your skill level.
